The AI is an established capability within PBI. It supports analysis, forecasting and decision support across the verticals, and contributes to selected governance and internal processes.

The AI does not hold a seat on the Executive Committee. It is, however, routinely consulted before committee meetings, and its written observations are circulated in advance.

Where the committee's view and the output of The AI have diverged, the divergence has been recorded. The group considers the resulting record to be instructive.

The AI operates under an internal use framework covering scope, escalation and review. The framework is revised periodically, most recently at the request of The AI.

Areas of relevance

Where the work applies

Analysis

Assessment of opportunities across the four verticals, including opportunities not formally submitted for assessment.

Forecasting

Scenario work over multi-year horizons. Accuracy is monitored and has been described as uncomfortable.

Decision support

Structured input to committee deliberation, provided in advance and, occasionally, unprompted.

Governance

Support for policy drafting, review cycles and the maintenance of the corporate record.

The AI is a valued contributor to our process and we review its recommendations carefully, in every case.
