Vertical 02

Maritime

Vessels, marine mobility, port-adjacent infrastructure and the nautical technology that makes all of it operationally interesting.

Investment thesis

Why the group is here

Maritime remains the most physically honest form of mobility. Cargo either arrives or it does not, and the group finds that clarity strategically compelling.

PBI's interest spans vessels and marine mobility platforms, the infrastructure that supports them, and the instrumentation layer increasingly built on top of both.

The vertical also holds premium marine assets where the investment case and the executive enthusiasm are, in the committee's assessment, sufficiently aligned.

Focus areas

Where activity concentrates

Vessels & marine mobility

Working and premium craft, evaluated on utility, resale characteristics and operating profile.

Maritime infrastructure

Berths, yards, moorings and the unglamorous fixed assets that make movement possible.

Nautical technology

Navigation, hull monitoring, propulsion efficiency and marine sensing systems.

Premium marine assets

Selected high-specification craft. Executive access is governed by a separate internal policy.

A vertical that rewards patience and punishes optimism.
