Investment Verticals
Four disciplines. One mandate.
PBI organises its activity into four verticals. Each has a distinct operating character, a distinct risk profile, and a shared requirement: the opportunity must be strategically compelling before capital is committed.
The structure is intentionally expandable. Verticals are added when the group's activity in an area becomes material enough to warrant its own discipline, and not before.
Capital & Strategic Holdings
Long-duration ownership, structured partnerships and the balance-sheet discipline that supports everything else the group does.
View vertical→Maritime
Vessels, marine mobility, port-adjacent infrastructure and the nautical technology that makes all of it operationally interesting.
View vertical→Aerospace & Aviation
Private aviation, aerospace systems, airborne logistics and the mobility layer that compresses distance for people and freight.
View vertical→Technology & Emerging Systems
Robotics, automation, advanced machinery, digital infrastructure, new materials, gaming technology and systems that resist easy categorisation.
View vertical→Strategic initiatives are held separately.
Two programmes sit outside the verticals, on a longer horizon and with deliberately restrained disclosure.
