Philosophy
How the group invests
PBI is a privately held investment group. Capital deployed by the group is its own, and the mandate is set by the Executive Committee rather than by an external mandate letter.
The group prefers positions it can hold for a long time, in areas where it can be a useful partner. Where the group cannot be useful, it prefers not to participate.
Activity is not the objective. Periods without deployment are considered normal and are not treated as a performance issue.

Governance
How decisions are made and recorded
Executive Committee
Six executive positions with written responsibilities. All capital deployment is approved by the committee, with final approval reserved to the Chief Executive Officer.
Review cycle
Positions are reviewed annually. Proposed deployments are subject to pre-committee review, extended to all proposals in 2025.
Record keeping
The corporate record is held by the Chief Operating Officer. Records prior to the formalisation of governance are incomplete.
Advisory input
The AI contributes written observations in advance of committee meetings. Divergence between the committee's view and that input is recorded.

- Is PBI accepting external investment?
- No. PBI is privately held and deploys its own capital. The group is not offering securities, not raising funds, and not accepting external investment.
- How does PBI define its mandate?
- The mandate is intentionally broad across capital, mobility and technology. It is narrowed in practice by the standard applied before capital is committed.
- How are opportunities assessed?
- Origination sits with the Chief Business Development Officer, technical assessment with the Chief Technology Officer, and financial review with the Chief Financial Officer. Approval is a committee decision.
- Does PBI publish performance figures?
- No. The group does not publish returns, valuations or portfolio-level financial information.
- What is Orb Technology?
- A long-horizon strategic field sponsored by the Chief Technology Officer. Public disclosure regarding it is deliberately restrained.
